Cafe Press is having an anti-Valentines Day contest. While I am NOT anti-Valentines Day, the Moose (grump that he is...) certainly is. So, it is in his honor that I've created a new shirt:
There's a guys tshirt and a girls tshirt.

IF -- super hero
Wow! An Illustration Friday post actually posted on Friday???
Yeah, I'm taking the easy way out again. The theme is "super hero" and my favorite super hero of all time is Wolverine. I've been a fan LONG before the movies were even thought of, and years ago I used to regularly sketch from comic books, so I decided to dust off my old sketch books and find something to post here. I think my favorite sketch of Wolverine is this one:
I just love that he's relatively calm and quiet. Looks like an average guy even. Kinda like a super hero's day off. LOL
Note: I had to scale this down pretty far for it to fit the blog. If you'd like to see a larger version, it's here.

IF -- 80's
Ok, the first site I ever started, years ago, was a site for those cartoon doll thingies that were all over the internet at the time. I wasn't any good at making them, and the site was pretty pitiful, but it's still there if you want to see it. No promises about any of the links still working or whatever.
So what on earth does this have to do with Illustration Friday??? Well, this week's theme reminded me of a doll I did back then for my sister. Sooo... I'm taking the lazy way out and just reposting it. Please remember this was quite some time ago when I was still using MS Paint as my main graphics program... LOL
Anyway, here it is. Not sure what about it makes me think of the 80s really. Maybe it's the colors?
OH! And I am supposed to always link back to the creator of the base, so here's her site. Not sure if it's still functional or not because it apparently doesn't work on FireFox, but I'm supposed to link back, so I am.

Fun Socks
Anybody else out there have a thing for cute or fun socks?
I recently got a chain letter from a good friend that's actually kinda fun... Now first, let me say that normally I DON'T DO chain letters. Frankly, most of them are insulting! But this one is kinda neat. The idea is, when you get the letter there are two addresses at the bottom. You send a pair of cute socks to the first address. Then you move the second address up to number one and add your address as number two. Then you pass it on to six people. Simple, huh? Sounds like a lot of fun to me, since I really have a thing for cute and funky socks! Anyway, my dilemma is this: most of my friends do not appreciate socks the way I do. So I gotta find some people to send the sock letter to! If you're interested, email your address to and I'll send you the letter. You MUST be willing to send a pair of socks and to pass it on to six more people for this to work. Thanks!

Belisi Fashions
Peter Belisi started out as a bartender in a high-end bar in Palm Beach . But his story doesn’t end there. This entrepreneur wanted to make it big, and he is doing just that! As the owner of Belisi Fashions, he now sells beautiful hand-made silk neck ties (like the one pictured here) and other fashionable accessories. There is even a “Tie of the Month Club” where you can either receive a tie chosen be his designers, or choose your own each month at a discount. His designs are really quite remarkable, and his approach rather novel.

Which religion do your beliefs most closely resemble?
I like to take quizzes like this, not because I am searching for a "religion" but to see how accurate they are. Anyone who knows me knows that I am 100% a Christian. Most of these tests don't come up with that answer. This one did, and I find the second result quite appropriate as well. Fun!
You scored as Christianity. Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian. Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people's sins.

How the dogs are spending 2007
I knew this was going to happen when I bought the toys. Really, I did. It's a simple fact that stuffed dog toys don't last long in our house. But I bought them anyway, figuring that this would give the dogs something to do while we were away that wouldn't drive the housesitter completely insane. Miraculously, both toys made it through the almost two weeks of our absence mostly intact. But today Mommy's home, so it's time to spread the stuffing out ALL OVER THE HOUSE. I only wish I had "before" pictures.
